A brief soujourn to Vancouver has meant a time away from this space.
I realize now that a seasoned blogger would have captured and posted all the highlights,
but in my case, a few images and words will have to do. Sigh. Sorry.
We went over for the launch of Jay’s new book,
and to see Granny, who is now 91!!!
I, of course, went shopping (Balenciaga trousers, a Calvin Klein b&w draped jacket, a Taharai Le Smoking jacket, and a DKNY black knit dress. All pre-loved from Turnabout). Oh, and something shiny and new from Tiffany & Co.
Picked up more Limoges china for my vast collection from UsedVancouver (thanks Simon),
bought a new cookbook from one of the best Italian restaurants in Vancouver,
and had great fun at Max Mara trying on gorgeous coats and looking at all the sizes and colours of the Whitney bag whilst carrying mine in black.
There is nothing like great luggage when you are travelling. A hard-sided suitcase is fantastic, wheels are essential, and a great colour like purple is ever so chic. I also took my vintage vanity case for my toiletries and cosmetics. It was perfect for all my beauty items. Very retro, but so very practical.
Going away is wonderful; but as they say, there’s no place like home.
Happy to have gone;
even happier to be back.
